AMC medical professionals recently visited Cambodia with the objective of sharing techniques in therapeutic endoscopy. This visit was organized as part of the 'Asan in Asia' project, which strives to bolster medical self-sufficiency in Asian nations. The delegation consisted of five members: Professor Hwoon-Yong Jung, Professor Min Jun Kim, Professor Gunn Huh, Professor Jin Hee Noh from the Division of Gastroenterology, and Nurse Da Young Maeng from the Digestive Endoscopy Team.

During their visit, the AMC medical professionals delivered training sessions focusing on esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy (CFS) to local medical personnel at Calmette Hospital and Hebron Medical Center on July 20. On the subsequent day, July 21, they participated in the Joint Symposium on Therapeutic Endoscopy hosted at the Khmer–Soviet Friendship Hospital. At this event, they served as speakers, delivering a presentation and demonstration on per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). Furthermore, they conducted training covering endoscopic submucosal dissection and provided feedback during practical sessions on July 22.
